What Did Working Class Men Tell Us about Kamala and Trump at the Doors?
Team Blue knocked on millions of doors. What did voters say?
Now that the shock and horror of election night is over, I’m trying to get my head around a question that I consider pretty important for Team Blue.
What did working class men tell us about Kamala and Trump when we knocked on their doors??
If the exit polls are remotely in the ballpark (+/- 10%), there was a major shift to Trump among men of color - largely Latino but also black.
But here’s the mystery: I read and zoomed everything I could in the final weeks, and no one on Team Blue reported a major problem with men of color.
Yes there were hints in the polls, but they were pretty small - maybe a 5-10% shift from 2020.
How did 5-10% turn into 20-30% without anyone reporting it to Democratic donors and activists?
I’m not going to try to guess at the answer - instead I’d really like to read comments from people who were talking to men of color at the doors.
Thank you!
